Acai Berry Scam: Double Berry Blast

Another "fake news site" promoting acai berry wonder products is advertising Double Berry Blast. Be aware of the hidden terms and fine print before considering this product.

Advertorial "Top Diet Trends" says their "reporter" Dianna investigated several acai berry products and after using Double Berry Blast, she was sold. Tossing out terms like "free trial" right and left, the ads claim that anyone can lose weight by using this acai based diet aid.

The Free Trial claims in the ad are deceiving as we will find out from the Terms of Sale.

Clicking any of the numerous links, visitors are taken to the Double Berry Blast website and encouraged to sign up immediately. However, potential buyers of the supplement should read the terms carefully.

Using what the seller calls a "continuity plan" those taking advantage of the Double Berry Blast free trial are actually enrolled in a monthly membership for the product.

The terms include the trial period..

We offer a 15-day Trial of the Double Berry Blast with enrollment in our monthly subscription for only $1.95.

But the trial sample is actually a full month's supply and buyers will be charged the full price if they do not cancel..

If you find that the product is right for you, do nothing and we will automatically charge the credit card you used to order your Trial the one time membership fee of $19.95 and then the 40% member discount price of $62.95 for the trial bottle on the 15th day.

Then the Double Berry Blast keeps coming..

Further, we will ship you an additional 1-month supply of Double Berry Blast on the 31st day after you placed your order and every thirty (30) days thereafter until you choose to cancel these continuing shipments. No further notice will be sent to you

And the charges for the product keep coming as well..

Upon shipment each thirty (30) days, we will automatically charge the credit card you used to order your sample bottle the 40% member discount price of $62.95 per bottle plus $4.95 shipping & handling for a total monthly charge of $67.90 per month, plus any taxes that apply

And how can Double Berry Blast buyers cancel..

You may cancel at any time by contacting us at 1-800-991-0793 (M-F, 9-5 EST) or email customerservice@doubleberryblast.com.

Remember, cancelling is just the start. Buyers also have to return the unused product..

To cancel your subscription during your Trial period, you must call customer service to receive a RMA # (Return Merchandise Number) and return the product within the 15 day Trial

The terms for Double Berry Blast include high monthly charges which are not completely revealed in the advertising for the product. Be aware of this when purchasing online.

There are many acai berry products being marketed on the internet. Beware when buying as many use this same tactic to charge buyers over and over again for their product.

  1. I have actually used this product and found it to work quite well for me. I was able to call up and receive a discount on the product and for the future bottles that i am going to receive. I actually like that i get the product each month. The first charges were a little shocking and i wasn't totally happy with them but overall i am happy after speaking with customer service.

  2. Please post
    a) how much of a discount you were able to get from customer service,
    b) how the product "worked well for you" - i.e. how much weight did you lose, etc..
    c) why were you shocked by the charges and what did customer service say.

  3. I just got off the phone with 'customer service, and affraid i am one of the ones that got scammed. 100% guarantee is a fraud. the product did nothing for me and i called on what i thought was the 12th day....it starts when you hit the 'send' button..my error but still rediculous ... you don't get the 15 days they boast about in very large type. their advertising is very convincing...so buyer beware. i'm stuck with the product so this was an expensive lesson. just be sure you read every single line twice and know what you are automatically getting hooked into.

  4. I, too, failed to read the fine print and am now stuck with paying for products (Doubleberry Blast as well as Rio Cleanse) that did absolutely NOTHING for me. I have been trying to cancel, but have not been able to reach a live person in customer service during their very limited business hours. A very expensive lesson, not to mention extremely frustrating.

  5. SCAM SCAM SCAM
Shame on them and shame on me for falling for this.
I responded to the free thirty day trail and did not read the small print - they charged me because I did not cancel within 15 days of my order.
Please learn from my mistake - THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD.
