The website is Catherine's diet blog and Catherine describes how she lost nearly 50 pounds using the wonders of the acai plant found in Acai Tropic. According to Catherine, Acai Tropic is high in antioxidants, increased her energy, suppressed her hunger and made her skin look better and younger.

Further, the website claims that a bottle of Acai Tropic is free with a small shipping charge if you order through the website today.

First off, acai is an berry found in South America and it allegedly has some anti oxidant values. However, these websites are making claims which have not been substanciated by the FDA. Worse of all, the product is not *free.

Visitors to the website can click on any of the Acai Tropic links and be taken to a sign up form for the *free sample. But the hidden, small print has some shocking details not reveealed in the advertisement on Catherine's Diet Blog.

For some reason, the website which opens is for Acai Optimum and not Acai Tropic. Regardless, there are some specific terms which are hidden way down at the bottom of the page which buyers need to see first.

First, the sample is not free. It is a trial sample and period to use it.

The AcaiOptimum comes with a fourteen (14) day free trial period, measured from the date you place your order, and not from the date you receive your order
When you place your order, you will be shipped a thirty (30) day supply of the Product.

The trial period only lasts for a certain amount of time:

If you don't cancel, then the real charges kick in:

Certified Acai is another acai product being marketed with the fake news blog/site so popular these days.

The ad makes claims about acai berry which are used on other ad websites:

4 Times More Weight Loss Than Diet And Exercise
Boosts Energy
Rich in Antioxidants
Promotes Cardiovascular and Digestive Health

This ad was found on "Health News 4" which is supposed to make a buyer believe Certified Acai has been reviewed by a news organization.

If you have seen these ads and are considering purchasing one of these products, read the find print carefully. Normally, it is found on the sign up page under "Terms and Conditions" but also at the bottom of the advertising page as well.

Here is what we found out the real costs of Certified Acai were. It is truly not a "free" trial.

Certified Acai Terms and Conditions: When you place your order today your credit card will only be billed $4.95 for shipping and handling.

You will have 15 days from your original purchase date to decide if Certified Acai is right for you.

If you are enjoying Certified Acai do nothing and at the end of your 15 day trial period you will be charged the low rate of only sixty four dollars and ninety five cents for the bottle you received.

You have seen the ads everywhere for Acai berry products for losing weight and cleaning the colon to reduce built up waste. But have you read the Terms of Service? Most don't and think the "free trial offers" let them truly try and product and then decide to purchase later if interested. Don't count on it.

MaxAcai Boost is being heavily marketed on the Internet, mainly on internet news and celebrity sites. The product makes claims such as..

Burn fat while you sleep
Cleans toxins and sludge from your system
Makes skin brighter and toner
Gives you energy

However, if you run across an ad for MaxAcai Boost, be sure read the Terms and Conditions for purchase.

There is not a truly "free trial" and signing up for the trial makes the buyer liable for the full purchase at a later date.

From a fake news site, Consumer Defender - Editorials & Opinion, comes a fake review of acai berry products. As usual, the "reporter" only features the products for sale by the affiliate of the acai berry products.

As usual, "The Consumer Defender" makes the same claims and story.

"We wanted to see if acai berry did what it said"
"We researched the best products.."
"We concluded that Pure Acai was the best out there.."
"We tried it for four weeks and found that it worked best with some colon products"

And so on.

Then comes the claims about how the products supposedly work..

Cleans your Body of Toxins
Increase you Energy

While the Colon Cleanse will do the following..

Then they make the claim that both products are free or free trials.

Within just a few days after I placed the orders I received the Free Trial* offers for both Pure Acai and Bromalite Cleanse. Before I place the orders I found a coupons for each offer.

But before you run off and order, look at the bottom of the sales page. The Terms and Conditions for both products.

Another fake news site, Health News 6, promoting more acai berry products.

First, claims that acai berry products can reduce weight or clean colons have not been validated or approved by the FDA.

A "reporter, Mary Cunningwood" claims that she tried two acai berry products to lose weight and reports on this advertising page about the two products.

Acai Berry Breeze and Colon Cleanse 3000 are the two products reviewed. As with teeth whiteners, the ads say that only by using both products will the desired results be found. Again, the ads claim that the products in question are available for a limited time for a reduced price. Of course, the actual prices are hidden in the Terms and Conditions which shows a much steeper price to pay.

Acai Berry Scam: Tammys Fat Loss

I found this one on a fake blog site, Tammy's Fat Loss. Tammy Fisher claims that she lost lots of weight with the Acai Bery diet. She goes on to say that she used two supplements to lose the weight.

Everyone of these Acai ads use the same format. The main character (nearly always fictitious), lost the weight by using two products - an Acai Berry detox and another to clean their colon. Using both caused them to lose weight.

Before buying one of these products, read the fine print found in the Terms and Conditions.

The first product is called Acai Berry Detox. Detox claims it will flush your body of toxins and leave you feeling purified and refreshed. I don't see how this will lose weight. Maybe those toxins are hiding in fat or something? Either way, it is not very scientific.

Next, the other product is called Nature Colon Detox. This product claims to flush out extra weight and increase concentration. Strangely, there is no fat in the colon. The colon is where our body eventually breaks down and expels sold waste. So again, I did not find this very reassuring from a scientific stand point.

Financially, it makes sense; for the seller.

Acai Berry Detox - is not free. The price is reduced for an unknown trial period. After that trial period ends, the price goes to its normal monthly fee of $87.13. The buyer will keep receiving a month supply of Acai Berry Detox at $87.13 a month until they cancel.
